ROOTED WITHIN

ROOTED WITHIN
Trauma-Informed, Neurodiversity-Affirming & Accessible Online Yoga Therapy
Unwind & Find Presence
Yoga therapy can offer a steady, supportive way to reconnect with yourself — without pressure to perform or be 'fixed.' This trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming work is shaped around your pace, capacity, and lived experience, and is offered online to adults in British Columbia, across Canada, and internationally.

Sessions emphasize presence, choice, and supportive exploration, recognizing that safety, regulation, and connection look different for everyone. The goal is support and capacity-building - not compliance, correction, or ‘acting typical.’

This work is often supportive for adults who are:
-
Living with ongoing stress, anxiety, or burnout

-
Seeking trauma-informed yoga that prioritizes safety, consent, pacing, and choice

-
Late-diagnosed/identifying autistic or ADHD, and looking for body-based support

-
Interested in building steadiness and regulation skills without pressure to “fix,” perform, or push past your capacity

-
Looking for accessible yoga, including chair-based options, beginner-friendly movement

-
Seeking gentler, more accessible ways of engaging with movement and breath

Sessions are adapted to your lived experience, sensory needs, and day-to-day energy levels.
This work is grounded in the belief that support should help you grow your capacity, rather than asking you to contain or suppress yourself. Sessions emphasize agency, choice, and connection, offering ways to stay with yourself that feel resourcing and supportive over time.
Exploring With Curiosity
Each session is an opportunity to move at your own pace and gently explore what may be contributing to the sensations, patterns, or challenges you’re experiencing.

We approach this work with curiosity, clarity, and compassion, exploring underlying nervous-system and sensory patterns while co-creating a personalized plan that supports your body, energy, and capacities — without pushing past what feels safe.

Embodied Healing
In our time together, you’ll be invited to experience yogic practices in a fully embodied, compassionate way. When helpful, we explore the “why” behind what we’re doing - from the nervous system to breath patterns - but always with a gentle balance of rest, regulation, and spaciousness. The intention is not to “fix," but to support a reconnection with your truest and fullest self - cultivating healing that feels supportive, grounded, and centred on your lived experience.
A Personalized Holistic Approach
An approach centred on your unique nervous system, sensory landscape, and lived experience. Yoga therapy offers practical, evidence-informed tools drawn from both Western psychology and anatomy, as well as yogic wisdom.
Together, we co-create a supportive path toward your physical, emotional, or energetic goals - one that honours your pace, preferences, and capacity.
This is a collaborative, client-led process designed to help you feel more grounded, resourced, and connected to yourself.

Supported Well-Being
Yoga therapy is experiential and collaborative. You’ll learn practices in a way that honours your body’s cues, your sensory needs, and your natural rhythms. When helpful, we'll weaves in simple, grounded education about the nervous system, interoception, and stress cycles - always paired with spaciousness, rest, and integration time.

The aim is not perfection or performance, but reconnection: supporting you in feeling more at home in yourself, building resilience, and cultivating tools you can return to in daily life.
Ways Yoga Therapy May Support You
Nervous-system and sensory regulation
Building interoception and body awareness
Support for anxiety, overwhelm, and masking-related burnout
Stability and proprioceptive awareness for hypermobility
Relief from chronic pain, tension, and stress-related patterns

What to Expect
Ahead of your initial yoga therapy session, you’ll receive an email with a detailed intake form and a short guide on preparing your space. The guide offers optional suggestions around comfort, sensory considerations, and setup, so you know what to expect and can choose what feels most supportive. This allows me to tailor the session to your needs and helps you feel oriented before we begin.

In a typical session, you can expect:
Check-In
A low-pressure check-in guided to help orient and set the pace.
Co-Created Session
A co-created session plan that may include gentle movement, breathwork, grounding tools, meditation, or supportive education.
Space to Move at Your Pace
Pacing throughout the session, with the option to pause, take breaks, choose quieter or simpler practices, or communicate non-verbally.
Home Practice
Optional home practices to explore between sessions, offered without pressure to perform or keep up.
If it feels supportive, follow-up sessions may be recommended. These build on what felt helpful, adjust what didn’t resonate, and remain responsive to how you’re feeling that day.
Chair-based or supine sessions are always welcome.
If you’re curious whether this approach is a good fit, you’re welcome to reach out. I’m happy to answer questions or help you decide on next steps.
